Our Materials & Care

Our Materials

HyraMode jewelry is made in two material families. The base material and finish for each style are listed on its product page so you can choose the wear and care routine that suits you.

Stainless Steel Collection

316L stainless steel with an 18K gold PVD finish or original silver tone.

PVD creates a harder, more durable surface than conventional fashion-jewelry plating. These pieces are designed to resist tarnishing during normal daily wear and are water-resistant, but no plated finish is permanent. Saltwater, chlorine, perfume, lotion, cleaning products, and repeated abrasion can shorten its life.

  • Best for frequent, everyday wear
  • Water-resistant, not damage-proof
  • Rinse with fresh water and dry thoroughly after exposure

Brass Collection

Brass with a 14K gold, silver, or rhodium finish, depending on the style.

Brass gives jewelry a warm tone and sculptural feel. It is not waterproof. The finish and the brass beneath it can change with skin chemistry, moisture, sweat, perfume, lotion, and time. That gradual change is a normal characteristic of plated brass rather than a manufacturing defect.

  • Keep dry
  • Remove before showering, swimming, and exercising
  • Store separately in a pouch or jewelry box

Metal Sensitivity

Materials and finishes vary by style, and trace metals may be present in base alloys or plating processes. If you have a known metal sensitivity, review the product details before purchasing and stop wearing the piece if irritation occurs.

How to Make the Finish Last

  1. Put jewelry on after perfume, lotion, and hair products have dried.
  2. Wipe each piece with a soft, dry cloth after wear.
  3. Avoid household cleaners, chlorine, and saltwater.
  4. Store pieces separately to reduce scratching and abrasion.
